Hello! I'm Emma!

It seems like every conversation about a pitbull contains this line: "They're such good dogs. It's all in how people raise them and how people have treated them."

 

Emma is here in rescue because she wasn't treated very well by people and she was raised to do bad things she didn't want to do. And she IS a good dog! When she found herself on the euthanasia list in a Texas shelter, she was smart enough to wiggle her way onto transport to safety. 

 

Not one to waste a second chance, she is loving life! Emma is all heart and a big personality. She is full of passion and just wants to do good and be loved. She eats, plays, and loves with gusto! Emma absolutely loves toys and is a power chewer. She has aced all her basic commands and is learning the hardest lesson which is trust. She is learning human kindness. In her new life, she needs a partner as strong and committed to herself as she is. This passionate pup is looking for someone who will understand, respect, and teach her. In the last few months since her rescue she has learned that there are good people in the world and she doesn't have to advocate for herself. Emma is learning she's no longer alone and she doesn't have to do everything on her own anymore.

 

Experienced dog owners encouraged to apply. Emma will need to be an only dog.
